Red Mountain Resort Challenges Business to Meet Mindfully

Press Release

SEPTEMBER 11, 2018

As wellness remains a dominant trend in personal travel, Red Mountain Resort invites corporate meeting planners to integrate mindfulness as a core theme in their upcoming business travel, meetings and events.  Often, offsite company meetings or business conventions rarely allow time for employee self-care and bring about a new set of stressors and headaches.  As an escape created to bring balance and wellness to its guests, Red Mountain Resort harmoniously weaves self-care into each individual retreat to create truly memorable group experiences. The result of this combination is healthier, happier employees, which leads to higher productivity.

See below for details on Red Mountain Resort’s corporate meetings and event amenities.

Dining

Red Mountain Resort’s menus were thoughtfully crafted with the belief that banquet food does not need to compromise on nutrition and flavor. The resort’s “Eat Well, Feel Well” philosophy extends to every meal, every group, no matter the size. Under Executive Chef Chad Luethje, who brings over 25 years of experience, the resort’s Canyon Breeze Restaurant offers gourmet and healthy cuisine, in addition to a complete banquet menu.

The resort supports kosher, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets and nutritional information is available for each dish or food served. Canyon Breeze Restaurant, centered around a double-sided fireplace, offers spectacular views, outdoor seating, a private dining room, communal dining tables and an open demonstration kitchen.

Group Adventure Activities

Red Mountain Resort offers an extensive lineup of experiences and programming created specifically for groups. Each activity is carefully designed to accommodate any size group and fitness level. By weaving aspects of wellness into all available programming, Red Mountain Resort’s mindful approach offers guests an elevated shared experience.

Planners can take advantage of customizable adventure trips to Snow Canyon State Park and Zion National Park, in addition to Sunset Kayaking & Paddle Boarding or even exploring nearby underground Lava Tubes. Groups can also take the resort’s popular Mindful Hike, which combines outdoor recreation with meditation and stress reduction techniques to focus an individual’s attentions and emotions and physical needs to truly live in the moment.

Group Spa and Wellness Offerings

After a day of exploring, groups can indulge in workshops and spa treatments to restore the mind, body and spirit. Offerings include Tai Chi on the Rocks, an Ayni Despacho Fire Ceremony, Stargazing (S’mores included) and the resort’s popular Drum Circle, a fun-filled adventure that shows guests how rhythmic drumming can reduce stress, decrease pain, regulate blood pressure and boost the immune system.

For those looking to give back, the Where Heart Meets Horse (available October-May) takes groups to meet and interact with a herd of wild horses. Guests can learn to lead the horses and experience the powerful heart-to-hand hug to gain further inspiration. All proceeds from this experience support wild horse care and adoption efforts.
