St. George, UTAH, August 7, 2019 – Red Mountain Resort announces the new Metabolic Booster Retreat as the latest addition to its evolving lineup of wellness packages. As one of the premier wellness and adventure destinations in the U.S., Red Mountain Resort continues to remain at the forefront of the industry by offering state-of-the-art wellness and metabolic testing in a micro-trip format.

Beginning with a personalized and comprehensive physical assessment performed by one of the resort’s wellness professionals, the Metabolic Booster Retreat determines each guest’s specific caloric needs to optimize and maintain their metabolism and achieve their health goals. By combining state-of-the-art wellness testing with the resort’s proven mindful approach to meal planning, eating and exercise, guests will leave with strategies that can be implemented in their daily routines well beyond their stay. The retreat’s condensed nature also affords guests the opportunity to routinely return to the resort so they can check their progress without requiring a major time commitment.

This three-night, four-day retreat invites guests to reset their metabolic system while revitalizing their spirit with all the perks of the Essential Retreat, including a variety of gourmet and healthy cuisine, daily hikes, fitness programs and personal discovery workshops, in addition to the following offerings.

Resting Metabolic Rate Testing is key to creating an individual’s weight management program. Through a cutting-edge Indirect Calorimetry breath test, guests can identify the exact number of calories needed to reach their personal weight and fat loss goals.

InBODY Composition Analysis goes beyond the scale to determine what an individual’s weight consists of, differentiating between fat, muscle and water. This data combined with the Metabolic Rate Test, is used to create a personalized exercise and nutrition plan for each guest.

Mindful Meal Planning invites guests to meet with one of the resort’s expert Wellness professionals to develop a personalized nutrition protocol aimed at optimizing weight loss without compromising overall health and wellness. Guests will learn how to develop a daily nutrition strategy, focusing on portion sizes as well as meal frequency and composition. Guests are also invited to a Mindful Dining Luncheon, where they will discover principles to improve their own mindfulness with the tools to eat with more awareness and presence, ultimately finding the experience to be as satiating as the food.

The Cardiovascular Workout Workshop utilizes treadmills, stationary bikes or elliptical machines to demonstrate how to use heart rate monitors while reinforcing the importance of using each guest’s personalized heart rate information to increase fat burning exercise. Guests will also leave with a customized, take-home fitness plan created by one of the resort’s certified personal trainers.
