Red Mountain Resort Announces New Offerings

Red Mountain Resort puts a fresh spin on summer with adventures through ancient lava tubes, moonlit hikes, a new Himalayan spa treatment and new workshops for physical and spiritual well-being. Renowned for its excellent service, gourmet cuisine, world-class spa and outdoor adventures, the resort adds a thrilling mix with a new lineup of offerings.

“We strive to give our guests friendly service, restorative experiences and adventures that they will remember for a lifetime,” says General Manager Tracey Welsh. “With our new offerings, returning visitors will see a new perspective of the Red Mountain Resort that they already love and first time visitors will gain a remarkable and transformative experience.”

Guests can come back from vacation looking better and feeling more relaxed than ever with the following new adventures, treatments and workshops at Red Mountain Resort:

New Adventures

  • Lava Tube Hike During the lava tube hike, visitors wander through an ancient cave formed by underground flowing lava.  This beginner level two hour evening hike is two miles round trip with varying terrain of sandstone, loose sand and crumbled rock.  Hikers explore the lava tube during a beautiful sunset and learn of the geologic forces that created this unique feature of Snow Canyon State Park.
  • Moon Light Hike

When guests visit the resort during a full moon, Red Mountain Resort offers a two-hour night adventure under the romantic lights and glow of the moonlit sky.

New Spa Treatment

  • Himalayan Salt Stone Massage The Himalayan Salt Stone Massage is an 80-minute treatment that takes the traditional warm stone massage to an entirely new level, replenishing the body with vital trace minerals while the warm salt stones combined with sage and cedar oil create the ultimate remedy for sore muscles. The beautiful stones have been hand carved into massage stones that the therapist uses to soothe and mineralize to reduce pain and inflammation. The stones are perfectly shaped to help them target specific points on the body.

New Workshops

  • Kettlebell Essentials WorkshopThis workshop is 50 minutes of small group instruction, focusing on defining and strengthening the body in a safe way with kettlebells.
  • Core 20 and Cardio Express

These are 20 minute classes based on the high intensity interval training method. Those participating will strengthen and tone back and abdominal muscles with the Core 20 workshop and reach peak levels of caloric burn with the Cardio Express workshop.

  • Guided Imagery

Guided imagery is a technique that engages all of the senses to focus and direct the imagination toward desired goals. It is based on the concept that the body and the mind are connected. Since the body cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is imagined, it tends to respond as though what the participant is imagining is real. Guided imagery can be used to promote relaxation and relieve stress, can help reach goals such as weight loss or becoming more active. Using the technique can even help to prepare for an athletic event or for public speaking. It has also been used to promote spiritual growth and emotional healing.
