EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF
Ben brings decades of experience and an eclectic résumé to Red Mountain Resort. He is a certified Chef de Cuisine by the American Culinary Federation and has been an active member in both the greater New York City and Charleston, South Carolina chapters.
Born in eastern Tennessee but raised in Manhattan, Ben taught himself to cook with the help of a food service program that he attended throughout high school. Though his education led him to a career in social work, he was ultimately drawn back to the kitchen and enrolled in Johnson & Wales University to grow his passion into a career.
Ben has lived in many cities and states, mainly along the East Coast, and taken something away from all of them. He enjoys hiking, reading, music, visiting anywhere he hasn’t been, language and communication, and volunteering at animal shelters and community outreach centers.
