John brings 30 years of experience with the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation, including search and rescue missions on Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake. In 1993, he became Park Manager at nearby Snow Canyon State Park, where he served to help protect the natural environment (including his nurturing of the Naturalist program) while providing outstanding recreation opportunities. Guests at Red Mountain Resort have benefited from John’s vast knowledge and passion since 2006.

John served in the United States Navy and is a graduate of Utah State University with a degree in Outdoor Recreation.
